WW1 german gas mask?

Hello, good morning, what do you think of this gas mask? It is German from the First World War but I could not identify the container, the filter also seems to be after the First World War, on the strap it has written in spanish 'careta contra gases recuerdo del teniente Robledo 20.12.1936' which translates as gas mask souvenir of Lieutenant Robledo 12/20/1936, this would indicate that it was used in the Spanish Civil War.

This is a Ledermask modified post WW1 for the Reichwehr.

Thank you very much for your response Eric. So it is original from The Great War, it was modified after WW1 for the Reichwehr and then used in the Spanish Civil War? It's a nice piece of history then
