18 L Trinkwasser Backpack Canister.

The "Trinkwasser" water can was available in 3 different sizes - 5L, 10L, and 18L.

This is the 18 L backpack version that a German soldier could carry on his back.

The Fl number is: Fl 130712 and it's made of aluminium.

The only thing I think is missing is the locking chain on the top lid.

It would have be very heavy when filled to the top, so I'm not going to walk around with it on my back..

Should I spray it green?

Nice - leave it as is - maybe use renaissance wax on the leather if you wish
those are rare so keep it original vs. restored.
