I should have asked that earlier, but would by any chance this marked Göffel be the ESM one ?
That is the only brand that I know of that seems to have an eagle in volume on the handle.

Thank you, it seems more logical that way.
Speaking of failed marking, here is my first spork, bought decades ago.
The Gerhardi & Cie Aluminiumwaren, Lüdenscheid marking is genuine, the spoon and fork always were together eventhough the rivet broke when I cautiously tried to extend the fork, the rest is a mess with 3 different failed eagle markings on the handle, and on top of that a most questionable SS property mark ?!?
As says the old adage one man's treasure is another man's garbage, yet right now I feel inclined to consider all that extra set of markings as garbage.

Thanks a lot Rich A
Hello again.
I have been able to find a few more folding fork and spoons these past few months.
At first let's have a look at the aluminium types :
CFH 1937 with a Waffenamt.
A WFN 38
A WSM 39
Last but not least I was able to get a hold of two stainless steel examples without even noticing it before receiving the packages :
The LGK&F example, dated 1940
The VDNS 41 one.
As LGK&F produced a lot of mess silverware in stainless steel it was logical to assume that they could also have produced the Goeffel in the same material, in addition to aluminium and tin coated versions.

Thank you very much. When the opportunity arises I'll post pictures of what remains, doubles excepted.
