Looks to be a Radio earthing spike

It's a ff33 telephone spike used with single line connections......
Unfortunately the connections are gone on the spike, but the holster alone is somewhat difficult to find....

By coincidence I've just bought one of these spikes in complete but 'relic' condition for only 9 Euros. It's almost harder to find these than the FF33 itself....
still a nice find.

Now, now Dan! Actually this little bugger is well designed to get deep into the ground for efficient grounding. You will note the ground stake has holes in that let moist soil inside to make a good ground as well. In a pinch, I'd guess they make a good defensive weapon too! NH
