Do the waffenamts tell what branch.... Heer, Police, etc.? that this flare gun was issued to? They don't appear to be LW or KM stamps.
    Thanks,
    Andrew

Waffenamt markings are inspector markings and would not indicate branch of service. Your flare pistol is a Heeres Model 1928 made by Berlin Lubecker Maschinenfabrik as noted by the maker code DUV. I am not able to make out the numbers on the flare gun do to being blurred. This one has more stamp markings that I am accustom to seeing. May have gone through the production twice after being rejected the first time but that is only my opinion. Proof or acceptance markings can show what branch of service it was accepted into.
    Nice flare pistol.
