Hallo. I'm get such one. 1943 ehb 62
I have some questions:
* it's a real colour of can
* in i-net i have found producer EHB, but code 62 not; how widly it's used?

Feurgefahrlich means flammable so it is a gas can. I know nothing about special markings but the paint color looks to be standard German red oxide primer. Most likely the can would have been painted some shade of Feldgrau or Dunkelgelb. Perhaps there was a reason for keeping this can red but it just looks like primer. NH

... the ''62'' is only just a factory lot or production lot code

In Philippe Leger's book it's to read : The serial number found on every German-made pies is, allowingfor exceptions, either :

- most probably the number of a set of cans produced that year
- the reference of a press in the factory
- the reference of a mould

The only company which did not use that numeric code was Sandrik on SS-cans

"Ernst Hecker AG , Metallwarenfabrik , Aue , Sachsen" the Trademark should read EHA
they also had a three letter code "ets"
