The feldpostnummer 25884 refers to:
(Mobilmachung-1.1.1940) 2. Batterie
Reserve-Flakscheinwerfer-Abteilung 139
(10.2.1943-23.8.1943) 2. Batterie Flakscheinwerfer-Abteilung 139
(v).
It may have been used by an SS unit after August 1943, but the label also may have been added much later. As an empty behalter with no straps I would expect it to be low price in such condition.
Looks impressive but in my opinion impossible to tell whether the paint is 80 yrs old or 20....and as more years go by it gets no easier!
Quadrupling the price of a standard can makes it worth the faker's efforts if that is what it is.....

I’ve visited Arnold Jorgensen’s grave at Recogne as he was killed at Dom Bütgenbach whilst in command of a hedgehog of Jagdpanthers. Unless there is strong provenance that this may have belonged to him it seems a lot of money indeed.
