Gebirgsjager Mountain Troop Boots

Picked up a salty and been there pair of boots for my pending Gebirgsjager display and collection.

Nice set of boots and not commonly seen! Frankenstein had a pair of them too.

Nice pair of boots. Judging from the looks of them -they must weigh a "ton" I remembered a story a fellow collector told me- that he got a pair of mountain troops low boots, didn't knew what they were and used them as his work boots while working in construction, and once they were worn out, he got rid of them and only a while later found out that they were original german Gebirgsjager boots

They for sure have some weight due to the hobnails and metal edging. I would likely get lapped in the 50 yard dash in these. They are a bit worn but will go well with my display some day. Thanks much for the message.
