I have just found a few pictures of my 5 W.S. radio set. A heavy old lump, but in fairly nice condition. Anothey leftover from the German Occupation of the Island.
All the best from Jersey,

That is just so cool.
"Please", Thank You" and proper manners appreciated
My greatest fear is that one day I will die and my wife will sell my guns for what I told her I paid for them

Thanks Chaps,
The radio is complete so there is no reason why it would not work. I just don't have the know how to make it work and would end up blowing the valves with my luck.

Wow, love the colors!
I doubt it would receive anything on those frequencies?
I guess not.

very nice condition.
I love seeing the radio equipment. I was an electronic techncian for over 10 years so they have a special place in my heart. Just bought a volks radio myself for a pet project to repair. That one is a beautiful transceiver you have. Take good care of it, they aren't cheap if you are in the market to buy one.
By the way, you should easily be able to pick up AM radio stations on that transceiver.. Don't broadcast! Haha! Just listen. Your unit is capable of both. Those frequencies are still used everyday in the US and is against the law to broadcast on them. I honestly don't know if Europe still uses them but I would assume so.
