The feldflasche appears to be an early example although I can't quite decipher the maker it is good. The bread bag doesn't have the construction typical of German military issue during the TR period; no inner pocket, the absence of the button and leather belt hooks and the strange button for the flap. It may be a civilian version but I'm sure the brot beutel guys will opine. Thank you for posting.

    Hi Bex.

This is not my area of collecting, but I wonder if both of these are linked to the Hitler Youth or some other organisation.

german canteen - Wehrmacht, SA or Hitler Youth?

    Kind regards,

    Will.

The flask is marked G&CL36 I think.
    Gehardi & Company,Ludenscheid 1936.
The breadbag looks like it was made from late war materials.
To me it looks like a rucksack recycled as a breadbag postwar.
    Thank you for posting them.
It will be interesting to hear what others think.

Is the A symbol of any significance on the canteen clip?

Is it possible the breadbag is HJ? They did typically only have one leather loop on the flap.

The A symbol is the trademark of F. W. ASSMANN & SOHNE, LUDENSCHEID who produced all manner of metalwork for the military.
I did see some images of post war East German bags online after my previous comment which resemble yours.
Perhaps you might want to Google some images?
