    Hello,
here a new arrival for my entrenching tool collection.
It is a pretty rare so-called Klapphacke from 1935.
This digging hoe is a 1:1 copy of the French WW1 entrenching tool.
Unfortunately I was not able to find out anything about the manufacturer so far.
    Best regards,
    Austrian

    Hello,
Nice...and yes it's the twin of the famous french "pelle-pioche 1909" still used during WWII
Thanks for sharing and i hope you can find infos on this specific manufacturer, i have never seen this logo so far...

Thanks! I am still on research for the manufacturer. Let's see what future will bring.

Here a direct comparison with the French blade and a contemporary drawing found in www.
Even the wooden handles are perfectly interchangeable!

The differences are minimal, the biggest being the shape of the spike, but all measurements are the same.
According to Olivier Bellec, which is for me THE specialist of WWII french army (and a friend), there were two leather carriers for the french example, one for infantry and one for cavalry.
    Thanks

Thanks to a kind WAF member the manufacturer could be found.
    It is Kuźnia Osowiec (Königshuld)
The same location like the "REX" branch and both companies appear to have been linked.
On the REX Königshuld logo is also the other one added.
