Think it is for a machine gun. Forget the type.
But not sure if they go with the box. Could be but don't know. Hopefully others will

My greatest fear is that one day I will die and my wife will sell my guns for what I told her I paid for them

They are stripper clips for the italian "Breda Modello 37" MG. The box is the original box the clips were stored in.
Of course the eagle is fake.
Breda Model 30? NH
if they hold 20 rounds. They might be for the Model 37 or 38 Italian brenda.

agreed.. italian breda mg..Almost bought the same exact ammo box a few months ago. Without the eagle of course..
Do t think it was the 30 I think. Didn't they use the brass 'one time use' thin brass clips.

Hard to tell the shape accurately from these pics but given the apparentl dimensions of the box (obviously the eagle is outrageous!) I am leaning towards the French Hotchkis M1914.
Loads of French gear captured by the Wehrmacht and pressed into service in 2nd / 3rd line formations and in defensive positions.

Is the eagle for real fake? That's my only draw to the box.
