Hello everyone,

I was just looking for some opinions on this breadbag before I get it ordered. Looking forward to putting together a personal effects bag but just want to be sure this one is right. I’ve read the very informative thread about the bags but nothing beats opinions from the guys in the know.

Hello,
The breadbag is original (most probably 1940 production), i was wondering if the top part between both belt loops was repaired or not, just because it looks a bit suspicious with "additional" stitchings...better photos of this part would help...

There is a name tag stitched in. Is this the additional stitching you’re referring to?

Thanks for posting a photo of the name tag
I was referring to the part seen in the photos below, which seems a bit weird in the way it looks. Perhaps i'm wrong and everything is ok but i thought it looked weird at the first sight, like if something was wrong in the construction or with a repair...

Hello,
The carrying strap is original, it's a production that started in late 1943, so it's a different time frame from the breadbag...
The strap you need to match the breadbag should have aluminium fittings and reinforcement stitchings on its length.

If it’s original I’m happy with that. It will be nice to have a variety, in my opinion, of the fixings and how they changed. Thank you so much for your help!
