Bought this one on ebay last week.
IMO a nice mid war Kochgeschirr with nice brownish paint (looks pretty similar to SA Brown in person)
There's also the initials "E G" scraped into the lid and the pot.
    Was quite affordable, too.
    Hope you like it

Looks nice, is it also marked MN42 on the handle mount?

Thanks, the handle mount is unmarked but I'd say it's matching given that the paint color of the pot is the same as on the lid and the same initials are scratched into it.

Agreed, a nice set. How much did you get it for if you don't mind me asking?

    Hello,
The paint is olive green that has been slightly heated. It's a normal paint for such a midwar messkit.
    Thanks

Thanks for the info, also just watched your video on mess kits on youtube
I've also got a youtube channel where I do helmet restorations and stuff, same name as on the forum, but if you search it you will just find videos for potato diggers most the time

What I also just noticed is in the third picture you can see those two very similar lines of missing paint on the lid, and it's exactly the shape of another Kochgeschirr, so maybe someone stacked a few on top of each other right after painting in the factory leading to paint loss in that area.
    That's my guess anyway
