Default M31 Mess Kit MKL 41

Yet another example I have added to the collection, nothing crazy but I thought I’d post it up. It’s still in decent shape on the outside but nice and dirty on the interior in fact I’m pretty sure there’s some remains of burnt food. Definitely a used example but not too beat up (besides the massive dint in the bottom). It has some lettering on the top of the lid, the very top letters read “LWH” middle is just “HL” and the bottom looks like “MM”. I’m assuming they are his initials, although not sure about the MM.

    Happy Collecting,
    Bodhi

    Nice matching set!
Considering how these were more often than not separated to get filled with soup or broth, its no wonder SO MANY we find are mismatched!!

An obsessive collector !! Hahaha, like we all are !!

Nice set Bodhi, maybe nothing fancy, but very nice indeed !!

I enjoy the small items, they don’t have to be a set of matching MP44 pouches .......

I need a mess tin with that kind of wear for a display. My 1937 dated example is too clean! Neil
