M31 messkit - wasze opinie ?

Hello, I have a problem with this canteen. There are no signatures of any kind. The hinge axis is flattened at the ends, as in post-war canteens and hooks have a different shape than the German ones. The first color was olive. Three capacity markers are missing. All details are different from the early NVA examples I've seen. Please help - what country and what year is it?

Could be Russian? ....they were similar.

I'm afraid it's not Russian. They had three rivets and other hooks.

Imo a late war German mess kit ~1944.
The black color came on later and should be removed carefully. You will see "feld gray" under the black and then you can perhaps also make the manufacturer visible.
