Great thread this never realised the amount of tent permutations you could get from a zelt, Santi I love your pic with the 3 helms on top, Regards Paul
The truth is that I have these other two that I am going to use in a thread that I am about to end over the forests and bunkers on the eastern front.
You can see that on a quadrangular structure formed by several rows of logs, the tent is the roof.
In the first, the soldiers cover themselves with mosquito nets. The second is on the front of the Volchow, the soldiers celebrate something and a narrow Knüppeldamm is placed on the ground that insulates their boots from the mud.
Great thread. I just trawled through all twenty pages, some excellent images here.
Has anyone found a period photo of a German made zelt from Italian camouflage in use? There must be some out there due to the number of actual examples in existence...
Regards,
Mark.
From an album I picked up today.
