Hi,I recently posted the right side saddlebag I acquired which was issued for mounted troopers personal gear and doubled as a backpack.
This is a left side saddlebag which was used for items required by the horse.
They were connected across the saddle by a separate coupling device.
This bag is stamped GRZ 43 and has a mix of pebbled and smooth leather.
Neither of these bags is in perfect or complete condition but I hope you find them interesting.
    Thank you for any comments.

Nice pack, and the two are a pretty close match..
I’ve always fancied putting a Cavalry set together, just don’t have a horse to put it all on!

How much more do you need to complete it?

    Thanks Kohima,
I missed out this week on the chance for a saddle and even then it would still be the bare bones of a setup.
Not to mention the horse as you say!

I trust you keep an eye on German ebay.. they, and parts, often pop up on there.

My wife has horses .....don't go there!!!!
If militaria doesn't send you broke, horses will.

    Much appreciated Dan,
I know you have the militaria situation under control on your side of the Council border but I think I'm safe.
A few years ago one of my kids told me "There are no horse(sic) in Campbelltown.
