My Carl Zeiss Jena Dienstglas H/6400

Hi Guys,

I would like to show you my Carl Zeiss Jena. I beleive it has been made 1936. I think the lens cover it was not belong for this binoculars on the begining, because it come with bakelit cover. But there is a stamp on the cover, and on the other leather.
Overall i think it's a nice complet binoculars, and it will be good for my mannequin.

The WaffenAmt markings on the lens cover are of the pre-war style, whereas the markings on the binoculars themselves are of the wartime style introduced in 1939. So it seems what you have is a wartime pair of binoculars with a pre-war cover. Someone with better knowledge of the markings used on Dienstglas may be able to nail down a more precise date of manufacture.

The mismatch isn't incorrect or unusual, as the owner would have used whatever was available to him at the time. They'll look fine on a mannequin, as you have said.

From what I can find the serial number dates them to 1936
