Default Panzerhandlampe - Armored Hand Torch

I picked this up years ago and have not seen many of them. I am a lantern geek and love things that light up. It is a hand torch marked Panzerhandlampe for use with armored vehicles by the Germans. Very well marked. I have looked for years to find any photos of this item in use with tanks and armored vehicles but have yet to find one. I would pay good money for a wartime picture of it being used by a mechanic. I have found a schematic I have posted here with the pictures for reference. A hard to find piece of history I thought I would share. Still looking for a photo in use. If any one has one of these and has more data please feel free to share as well.

Some more detail. I have seen photos of this on the web and it also be deemed used as a mobile airfield lamp for the Luftwaffe. So thus multipurpose? Landing strips, aircraft, armored vehicles, and tanks. A fellow collector in Europe mentioned to me some of these lamps are stamped, with the "Betriebs amt Luftwaffe", and the Luftwaffe catalogue number "Fl. 56211". Mechanic's could have used them, but he had always heard them described as lamps used for marking emergency landing strips. They were approved by the Luftwaffe as well. He did tell me that many of these were found at the German airfield Haslemoen, in Norway. I have seen one variant one time with Red glass as well.

And with some further digging I did find a war time photo of this Panzerhandlampe in use at a table.

I think it's only used by luftwaffe, you have the code Fl. on the lamp.

    Ade,

If you come across the pull cart pictured above and 11 more Panzerhandlampes over there I will take it. Shipping may be a bit much. Hope you and family are well
