    Gentlemen,

I present this RZM marked canteen for your consideration - to me it looks like a nice-condition period piece, most likely HJ issue (or SA), but would be grateful for any comments in case I'm missing anything glaring or obvious. Marked RZM M6/2/40.

Apologies if this is in the wrong section - I figured field equipment would be most suitable, but if it needs to be moved to the HJ uniforms section that's fine.

    Thanks in advance.

Thanks for that - dealer stated that the code was an 'unknown maker'. So much for that! Hopefully it's all authentic...?

All looks very fine to me, the leather strap looks almost mint. I've seen several HJ issue feldflasche for sale recently and for one reason or another not been tempted.

Something about them seem off to you? Sometimes one has to go with the gut feeling...

It was at a show and several traders had examples - I guess I was just over suspicious. It seemed bizarre to come across so many at the venue when not seen many about for a while. Maybe I need to grasp the nettle next time and get one!
