strange container

hello
one of my last finds,sorry if this thread dont belong here because im not certain that this is a German military use item,but the overall style and clasps reminds me a III Reich equpiment style.
the height is 37 cm diameter is 24cm,there are no visible markings at this moment,the container is full of dirt so i dont add the inner photos.have You seen something like this?

To me it looks like a canister for artillery propellants. But that’s just a guess. I’m sure someone else can tell you more. Neat find!

the most similiar is this one,17 cm to morser the diameter and style is identical.but the one from link is two times longer,maybe for more loads?
