Article about: Hi. Does anyone know the date at which all hardware (rivets, staples, etc) on german field equipment went from aluminum to steel? Maybe there is some kind of order?

    For buckles it was 1939/40 Transition period

    Some things are a little different but like stated about 1939 -1940 was the main transition for most equipment. Aluminum did however still bleed over and was still used well after 1940
