The 'unknown' magazine appears to have come from a Zb-26.
The tannic acid in tea neutralizes active rust. It's a popular method for preventing rust on gardening tools, but also works very well with battlefield relics. All you have to do is immerse the items you want to preserve in a bucket of warm water, dump in a pack of teabags and leave it to sit for a few hours. Take the items out, dry them in the sun or in a sealed container with silica gel packets, and you should have no further problems with rust.
