Help on this gauge i found today in a cabinet

Article about: I found this gauge in a garage in a cabinet full of bolts and nuts etc. It has a proof mark and it reminds me of a muzzle wear gauge but i'm not sure. The proof looks possibly medical.

    I found this gauge in a garage in a cabinet full of bolts and nuts etc. It has a proof mark and it reminds me of a muzzle wear gauge but i'm not sure. The proof looks possibly medical.

    This is the maker's mark of Aesculap, Tuttlingen.
    A well known knife maker, and likely other implements.

    That looks like a ring gauge, as in wedding rings etc.

    Hello, it's to small for a wedding or finger ring gauge.

    Well,perhaps you would be so kind as to give us some measurements to go on,it`s hard to guess from a picture as to size....Pete.

    I think it’s a gauge to measure the inside diameter of of a hose. It has a medical emblem so perhaps for IVs and what not?

    It is 12cm long, 1 cm at the tip and about 1.6cm at the biggest end.

    It is not a medical emblem, see post #2.
