Glad you liked it mate! I watched it with my 19 year old daughter and she loved it too! A very original film. Some of the close combat (knifing) scenes were hard to watch!

I enjoyed this film too mate. I was pretty tired when I viewed it but it was good. One thing I felt was that the enemy were treated as faceless hordes, and not given the respect they should have been. In saying that I will view again soon when I am a bit more awake!

Danger Close; Bit of underarm bowling to use an Aussie actor to portray Major Morrie Stanley of RNZ Artillery Regiment, rather than a kiwi actor (Sam Neil would have done). It was Stanley calling in that accurate NZ Artillery fire that saved the Aussies.

I 100% agree with the sentiment here but Sam Neil? He is in his 70's! Major Stanley was only 35 during the battle of Long Tan.
