That's a gutsy bloke, that is what a true hero is.
Hats off.
In a way, such acts are even more remarkable than feats of bravery on the battlefield. The war was over for him; he did not have to risk his life anymore, but did it nonetheless, even though he had nothing to gain from it personally and stood physically powerless before his opponent.
Let's not forget the other men who stood with him, though. Just one man backing down and giving in to the pressure was all it would have taken to render Edmonds' resistance useless.
