Thank you all for the very helpful information so far! Looks like it’s something I will seriously look at doing once I’m living in my own home with all my own bills. Thanks you all again!

My greatest fear is that one day I will die and my wife will sell my guns for what I told her I paid for them

Thanks Morris.
Yes, I’ve heard that Shannon’s will do that and I do have a policy with them but not my house and contend. Might have a chat with them and see what they say, but I have heard they only insure up to $10,000 for collections so that wouldn’t cover the collection.
Thanks,
Andy

My “insurance” is a little doesy, but I’m sure she’ll get the job done with her painfully loud bark

Hi Bodhi, it might have been these guys you heard about in the UK:-
Militaria | Hiscox UK
I note that they have a US branch, it might be worth enquiring if they have similar coverage in the US?
Business Insurance | Hiscox
However, one thing to consider, insurance companies tend to be staffed by humans, and if just one of them is not fully honest you are potentially 'alerting' people to your collection. Perhaps home security/ a dog is also not a bad idea...

In Belgium inssurance covers loss only to a avarage maximum.
