Very sad news. I was glad to have joined the WRF while Ned was still active on the WRF. He was larger than life character with huge knowledge on the combat badges and a wit and humour to match. RIP Big Ned.
    I agree.
I’m not that old but old enough that I have started realizing and unfortunately I should have realized sooner that life is short and we all need to understand what is truly important in life. I will not preach but please remember:
You, indeed, have made my days short in length,
and my life span as nothing in Your sight.
Yes, every mortal man is only a vapor.

Pray for Big Ned’s family during this time.
    God Bless,

Sad to hear of the loss of another forum member.
    Godspeed Big Ned.
Condolences to his family and friends in their time of grief.
And yes Marty, no more true words set to print than those you share.
Life is short, don't waste it with negativity and anger.

That is sad (and most unexpected) news.
His collecting interests were completely different from mine, but his posts were not only informative, but a pleasure to read.
    Ned, RIP.

Damn IT!!!! That is the one person I did not want to hear died.
    That is terrible news.

My deepest heart felt condolences to his family.
He will be sorely missed by all here!
RIP BIG NED. You will always be remembered.

I did love his dark sided humor! Priceless!

The man was a "Prince". I re-posted my navy Narvik shield thread again that shows what a caring guy he was.
    Rest in peace friend
