    Many of us have.

It's a must-see classic, really, and noteworthy for several reasons: The uncomfortably plausible scenario, the attention to detail when it comes to uniforms and insignia (both real and fictional/conjectural), the use of real former BUF members playing "IA" members and essentially explaining their actual views in one memorable discussion scene and the uneasy questions it raises on the subject of collaboration and conformity.

Recommended viewing for anybody who hasn't seen it yet.

Some re-enactor friends of mine were extras in this new series.

It Happened Here? is excellent. Andrew Mollo, the SS expert, was behind it.

    Cheers, Ade.

Don't forget, the Channel Islands were Occupied by the Germans for 5 years and so the whole idea of "it happened here" was the grim reality for many on the Islands. Some of the Germans who landed here thought they were already in Britain. They saw the good old British Bobby in uniform, the red telephone boxes and double decker buses...all of which they loved having photos taken with to send home. Anyone who has been to Jersey or the other Channel Islands will know that there are bunkers at every turn reminding us every day that it certainly did happen here.

My good friend Andrew just told me he was consulted in the beginning, but he thought
they did not need him anymore at a later stage!
