Why are so many photographs posted on specialist websites sh!t?

It can’t be the process or technology…in the past one would have to take 3 or 4 pictures (in case they “didn’t come out”)…then they’d snap a load of meaningless other stuff, usually ending with a pet or two just to use up the film…and then they’d send the film off in the Post with a cheque, wait about 10 days only to find that some **** has stuck a sticker criticising photo quality right over the only bit of the photo you wanted whilst the best picture turned out to be one of a goldfish! All this didn’t take seconds…it didn’t take hours…IT TOOK WEEKS!!! So why can’t “we” invest a little more than 3 seconds nowadays? The technology nowadays is hundreds of times better than the Instamatic camera which one would have to go and get from the cupboard to use….the phone is already with you…it’s ALWAYS with you…the lenses are out of this world and the supporting software is so advanced that it won’t be long before it’s possible for the camera to decide if it wants to take a picture or not.

….in addition these pics are of our own precious things….a 14 year old will spend an average of 17 hours a week taking pictures of their OWN FACE and yet “we” can’t be @rsed to take the item into natural light, clear the surrounding **** aside just for a minute, take the snap, check the snap (remember that that bit alone used to take WEEKS!)…and then close down that newly created “Studio”. But no….”we” can’t be bothered to show the items and fellow members the respect they deserve….things are thrown down from coat hangars, shelves etc into the most poorly lit parts of the messiest part of ones abode…where the carpet or whatever other hoarded stuff happens to be close by, clash with and detract from the beauty of the item itself….but then some time DOES get invested as there is absolutely no way that some photos posted can’t have been staged to be SO bad…why not just point the phone to the darkest place, whether the article itself is there or not, shake the phone a bit and just snap?!

It’s all as if one HAS to get that photo onto a website before anyone else does…..IT’S YOUR ITEM….NO-ONE ELSE HAS IT!...YOU’RE THE ONLY ONE WHO CAN TAKE THAT PHOTO…THERE’S NO PRESSURE AS NO-ONE ELSE KNOWS YOU’RE GOING TO POST IT ANYWAY!!!!!

An A1 sheet of white light card costs nothing (virtually)….lay it on the floor (in light…obvs)..yes, even on THAT carpet….let it ride up the wall a bit to create a curve….put your thing on it….and snap

    ….and yes, I AM having a bad day…….

    oh, and happy Thanksgiving.
