    Default Scorpion's! Anybody got them???

    Hello All,
I thought I would share some of the joys of living in the desert.

One of my coworkers went to use the female head(Bathroom) in our facility.
When she got in there, she saw this lil guy running around the floor.

She was kind enough to put it in a red cup for us to see!!
    Isn't she sweet!!!!!
    Yeah a former Marine!!!!

These are referred to as the Arizona bark scorpion.

They glow at night when you shine a black light on them.

Well if I ever make it back to AZ, I'm bringing two black lights, one for each leg..

It is VERY COOL when you have a hand held spotlight size BL.
We had one that was used for Non Destructive Inspection (NDI) and we took it out while camping overnight out in the desert.
I turned the portable generator on and plugged in the black light. As I shined its light out around our campsite you could see them EVERYWHERE on the hills that surrounded us.

and that is why I sleep in a hammock!

They are not aggressive unless you start poking one.

He has some spider webbing on his tail. I removed a fuzz ball about half his size from the stinger.

He'll be let go out back of the compound.

I caught a couple of them when I lived down there. I never new anyone who was actually
    stung by one.

What I remember most are the lizzards. Little gray or green guys that
were 2 to 3 inches long. They were everywhere.
