G'day All
Not sure where to post this one as it's Swedish.
I must sound like a novice asking so many questions, but it goes with being solo in collecting- here goes,
Is this one WW2 period?
Thanks again

No takers?

Haven't a clue, Rene, but it does look kind of "minty".
Anything on the back of the insignia ?
( You aren't really "solo in collecting"........
- Lots of collector friends all over the world ! ! ! )
Regards,
Steve.
All I can say is the wool material and lining are the same as found on wartime dated Swedish tunics. But I know nothing about this army's caps etc. The only reason I know about the tunics is back in the late 1970's we used to convert them to German tunics for re-enactment use.
Cheers, Ade.
It's the Swedish m/39 field cap. The cockade was introduced in 1941.

Here's a second pattern, can you tell me if this is WW2 period?
I'm not really sure on this, but there are two possibilities:
1. This pattern in the above post is the pre-war/early war pattern
OR
2. Different patterns because of different makers.

The side cap came in 1937 and was kept with the new m/39 uniform. I think that number 1 is correct, but I'm not certain.
It seems odd the liner is made of leather and not cloth, so it could have been made for an officer.
Thanks Engman
Here's a couple of extras after a closer examination ( I just acquired this today)
