Have just finished Duel Under the Stars by Wilhelm Johnen. An exceptional memoir of life as a Night Fighter defending the Reich. Outstanding read.

I am already more than half way through Dam Busters by James Holland. And I thought I knew about this raid. So much research and detail, it's amazing the information in this book. Anyone interested in the Dam Busters raid must read this book.

Having almost finished Dam Busters and having read John Nichol's Spitfire last year, another good read by the way, I can't wait to start this one.

Finished Red Blood, Black Sand. Decided I'd read one that rogge read recently: Voices of the Pacific by Adam Makos. Figured I'd round off my Pacific War venture with that one.

    Funny , to me!
We had a band called "De Strangers" back in the '70 ties.
They parodied many big hits with playful lyrics in Flemish.
Always looking for Belgian Congo stuff!

Just finished 'Through Hell for......', very interesting book written from the author's experience of his time in the HJ, the army & subsequent time as a POW, a very honest tale I would say . Next one ready to go, been looking forward to reading this for a while 'My Father...' !
    Stay safe All

RustyRelics, let me know how the Stalingrad book is after you read it. I've been wanting to read one about Stalingrad, and have a few options (including that specific one) on my "to be read" list. Just wondering if it's good. Storm of Steel and Spearhead are ones that I've been wanting to read. I think I'm going to have to add Inferno...that one sounds interesting.

I have not yet finished reading it, but I can safely say that this is one of the best Stalingrad works I have ever read. Very good.

    Thank you!
