I believe you Franz. ( There are two sides to every conflict )
That is a great photo. It looks like a period shot - except
you're clean shaven, and your uniform is not dirty !
Regards,
Steve.
Great photo Derrick and I agree with Steve there are two sides to every conflict and many men answered the call of duty to take up arms on both sides .What we tend to forget was the world was a very different place seventy odd years ago. I am envious that you can partake in this activity and I wish there was somewere here were I could get involved with WW2 reenactment but sadly there is not (make no apologies for what you love to do or enjoy)!!!!
Best regards Mark K
Great photos, Chris! Nice weather and landscape too!
Regards
I know what you mean wolf, but our unit regulation is that if you are in any type of barracks overnight you need to be clean shaven. If camping you can have a little bit of a beard going on but not much.... think of this shot more as a green recruit.
Mark i know how it feels a little. When i was little bit yunger i wanted to do this really really bad. As time went on i was able to. One cool thing i got to do is ride on a repro Panzer III rub it in a little...hehe

Thought shall be the harder , heart the keener,
Courage the greater as our strength faileth.
Here lies our leader ,in the dust of his greatness.
Who leaves him now , be damned forever.
We who are old now shall not leave this Battle,
But lie at his feet , in the dust with our leader
