the zinc paste came in old tubes that I picked up in Germany over 24 years ago now.
It was used in metal restoration I believe ... I can't remember if it was from the Signal stores or from the MT Compound.
It is a silver coloured/grey paste in a solvent base.
Rub it on the badge. Evaporate the solvent and then buff it up.
It should still be available under some proprietary name.
