panzerfaust restoration
hello, how would I go about restoring my panzerfaust, I have auto body filler and the panzerfaust is sandblasted and primed already can I just put the filler on it now or do I have to grind it?
I have never restored anything so any help would be much appreciated as I don't want to ruin the panzerfaust
thanks

Re: panzerfaust restoration
Hello John I m not an expert on arms or familiar with the panzerfaust. But I do have 20 years in antique car restoration. So I m assuming you have some minor pitting in the metal hence the body filler? Grinding is not recommended to get proper adhesion. It depends on the primer used but I ll assume your using a automotive catalysed epoxy primer (would be best) if that is the case then you will only need a aggressive grit sandpaper (40 grit by hand sanding) for proper adhesion of body filler. Open up the surface of the primer do not remove it otherwise corrosion could set in. Hope this helps? Regards.
