Repainting DDR NVA helmet

Hi,
Is anywhere possible to find color for the DDR M56 helmet or just the exact color code / RAL for it? Anyone try to repaint one?

That spray color named the DDR green that could be found online is too green and does not match the helmet color, which is closer to the gray.

I have one that is pretty rusty so I would like to refurbish it...

Wish I could help on the designation! Here's two slightly varying shades for a comparison.

I have few helmets my self, they are this greyish variant. Maybe then is the best solution to find custom color.
