    Interesting. A search of the VDK database & casualty records gave no positives for such a name. Perhaps misspelt or incorrectly deciphered. Let us assume he was taken PW or escaped home.

    I think it's definitely ACTAN - look at a better photo

    I searched for this name and only one person with this name ACTAN lives in Europe in Austria.

    It's strange because it's an Israeli name.

    Helmet with this liner was Found on the retreat line of the German army through the Czech Republic
