Article about: Richie or who could answer this one i was trying to find a badge like the one you showed me and all i could find is the 1950's one .Are the early type ones very expensive ? Can you tell me w

    Hello !
    I was wondering if someone could give me some info on what kind of cap is that ? i think it's British but not sure i have a hard time to read inside as i don't have it yet in hand but not sure if it's 1941 or 1946 sorry for the poor picture

    Looks like a Luftwaffe garrison cap, but I am no expert

    Thanks Nick i am still searching on the net and in the forum thread and for now can't find nothing who looks like it . So i will wait to see if another member can give me some more idea about it.

    Hi Frenchy, it is Russian! A Red Navy officers pilotka, I think?

    Size 57, made in Moscow in 1941.

    uh!!! omg
    Sorry i am in shock i was sure it could have been anything except Russian .
    Wow i am very happy with it for (12$ Canadian) but will wait to have it in hand and put better picture to see . Does they usually have a badge on them or they are like that ?

    Hi Frenchy, that was a real bargain!

    It should have a wreath in gold with an Anchor plus the Red Star as a cap badge. Sorry I don't have a pic to show.

    I am sure Dimas will have one to show you. I am moving the thread to the Soviet section now.

    Agreed, a very nice navy pilotka hat, but as I will be at home will place the cockade for it.

    Thanks Ade for moving this thread to the right place ,.I am happy and the funny thing is i wouldn't have gone for something like that in normal time but yesterday this cap was calling me and not knowing what it was i just went for it and can't wait to get it here now i have to go and learn a bit more about those kind of cap . It will never end all the thing we can still learn everyday .
