Hi Gordon,
The photos are a little unclear so I find it hard to define the embroidery but I think it's probably ok. The interior has the black silk lining often seen on these caps. One thing that does standout to me is the cord buttons - They appear to have a silver finish and to my knowledge should be gold like the cord.
Hi Chris,
Thank you very much for the comments.
Unfortunately those were the only photos offered by the seller.
Cheers,
Gordon
When a seller doesn't provide better pictures that is usually a bad sign.
Hi Gordon!
I think the soviet admiral visor hat that you have found is a fake one!
The embroidery should be made by gold filigree cords, and the leather maker label reports "43 ЦЭПК", but his horseshoe shape is vey strange from factory standards.
Also silk lining and real leather sweatband seem poor quality made.
Here is my Soviet Admiral Visor Hat Winter Parade from late 80s.
And a simply comparison of embroidery:
[Left supposed to be original]

And finally a comparison of an original 43 ЦЭПК maker label find on internet [Left] and the supposed fake one [Right]
Thank you very much for the detailed comparisons. One can easily see the difference in quality now.
