    Your right it looks like a C type chinstrap. We have to be careful with "special unit" helmets, a few are legit, a lot are marketing gimmicks! Most navies have their own colour for helmets. Anyway the initial price for the helmet is to much.

    Hello,

    After war reworks are extremely crude and not very attractive, but still I have several.
    I believe helmets on your marine photos are reworks, because those chain strips look too M72-ish.
    We will never know if the helmets from the auction mentioned in my previous post were legitimate.
    If there was detailed decal picture that might be the key.

    Thanks for the tip. I had been looking on eBay but thought there might wasn't sure if this was really the best place. Will take another look.

    I notice that your helmet has silver liner supports while some are green. Anyone know what the difference is?Bulgarian M36B

    Those silver supports are zinc coated -> no paint required in that case.
    Even so many years later they look like new. Some of green ones are rusty.
