Hi there,
I’d say that liner is from an m1,
Here are a couple of links with some information on the m51 and the way the liner is set up
France M51 - Brendon's Helmets
"Euroclones" - An essentiel collector's guide - OCAD MILITARIA COLLECTORS RESOURCES
The shell is manufactured by DUCELLIER ISSOIRE,
Manufacturers
M51 Helmets
The liner is an Israeli clone of the m1 helmet liner and is made by Tama.
Israeli M1 Helmet - Please Help with any info
I’m wondering if the shell was supplied to Israel, then they added their own liner (you see French lizard pattern camouflage uniforms that were supplied to the IDF, which are stamp with Israeli markings)
I think it’s a very interesting helmet!
Thanks for showing us.
Hello,
yes, this is a french Mle 1951 with a Liner made by "Tama kasda".
The Liner is a Copy of the US M1964 Liner.
Thank you all for the help and great deal of information!
I can not say how this ended up together. I got it at a antiques market in Zagreb and it came together, so I do not know if it was paired (un)intentionally, if it was really used by IDF or during the Croatian Homeland war.
I saw that it was not quite right, but wanted to check with you here.
Thank you again everyone!
