    The number on mine I think is H6943

    Irish M1927 Helmet

    I have two and the numbers are H5502 and H4386 (might be 4388, poorly struck).

    Worth mentioning that M27 refurbished for the Emergency (WW2 and civil defence) frequently (always?) had another 'H' number stamped on the rear skirt adjacent to the other stamps. Both of mine have this - and it appears to be the same for both of them, H407. That can't be right. Not well struck on one so probably my misinterpretation.
