Hi Reibert, this is a Greek liner from their M1 clone.
The Greek liner uses for both it's cradle & nap strap a removable assembly similar to the US M1 1972 liner.

Some more dutch helmets there:
Dutch M.1 clones (Model 53) Post them here
Were M53s manufactured in Austria by Ulbricht's Witwe, Schwanenstadt, carried by the Dutch armed forces in any armed conflicts in which Holland was involved?
Thx. in advance,

HOLANDÉS OTAN
Hello Reibert,
Ulbricht's Witwe produced helmets for the Netherlands from 1981 till 1992. So it is safe to assume they were used in the later stages of UNIFIL in Lebanon and in the early stage of UNPROFOR in the Bosnian conflict.
After 1992 the B826 (Schubert helmet) was issued as a temporary measure during UN missions, later to be replaced by the standardized M95 by INDUYCO.
Cheers,
Emile
Thx. a lot, mate !
A few days ago I received this Dutch M53 along with various Bundeswehr militaria.
In the rim of the shell I found the following stamp:
Lot 02/92 U's
The shell was therefore made in Austria by Ulbricht's Witwe, Schwanenstadt.
The stamp in the dome of the liner also suggests that it was made in Schwanenstadt, (Upper Austria), by Ulbricht's Witwe.
The following was scribbled on the sweat band with a red ballpoint pen:
730./38830
But I'm not sure if I interpreted this correctly...?
Can any of you read and interpret this stamp correctly?
Thx. in advance !
In my opinion this is an nice example of an European M1 clone.
That looks like the Registration No. of the soldier it was issued to. Dutch registration no's were "year-month-day" of birth, followed by three random no's.
So your helmet was issued to a soldier born on January 30 1973.
