Polish Wz 67

Article about: Really nice condition Wz 67 (refurbed i reckon) i picked up this week, spotted it on ebay Poland for £4.00. The Wz 67 was a follow on from the Polish Wz50 (ssh 40 shell), it was re-designed

I'm always amazed by the Wz75 for its sharp resemblance to the Wz31. To keep the link from one to the other there is the Wz31/50. After WW2 the Wz31 was manufactured again until 1950. Many of those were fitted with the new Wz50 cradle therefore known as the Wz31/50, until replaced by the Soviet looking Vz50.

Just so we're all on the same page, the Polish helmets have a 'WZ' prefix - the 'VZ' would be Czech ! It's no surprise the Polish steel helmets after the Wz50 have a more 'traditional' look like the wz31, which has a bit of an iconic status in Poland anyway, but also the Poles were not and still are not greatly enamoured of the Russians whether Czarist, Soviet or 'Federation' and as soon as they could get away with doing something more indigenously Polish than an ssh40 copy, they did.
