Hello there, I bought this m1 liner some years ago in a military dump, and have since been wondering where it came from.
I looked for markings but the only thing i could find was the letters PRYM on the buttons in the nape strap. I searched on google and turns out it's a german company. Also the outside of the liner and the suspension have this weird blue-grayish colour. My best guess is West German. Any help to identify this liner would be greatly appreciated!

    Hello,

this is an early Austrian M58 liner made in Austria. Easily recognizable by the side hole and the gray color of the webbing. The helmet was called "M58", later "Stahlhelm 2".

This is not a West German M56 liner.

Hi, thanks very much for the reply. Any reason why it was painted gray?

    Greetings,

    Hi.

I do not understand the question. What other color should it be? All early liners were this color.

    Regards.
