Have you ever wondered what has happened to Bulgarian Luftschutz helmets after the WW2?












That happened.

They were repainted and put in storage and forgotten.

one went my way (original paint & decal) that's for sure

These have decals under the paint and three of them were Police/Gendarmerie helmets.
I am not planning to scratch the paint to reveal those decals, but I am looking for the missing lion and cocarde.



Interestingly enough, on one of the police helmets the decal under the paint is on the wrong side.

Some of the helmets are very heavy, others - very light.

I am keeping them all.

Hello,
The last helmet is made in Germany, hence the "blue-black" color under the Bulgarian color.
Interesting to learn the history of the helmet
