Yes, it's an officer's badge for the Life Guard Grenadierski Regt., but I cannot determine if authentic or not.
There are many fakes out there for Russian Imperial regimental badges, so one must be careful.
A late close friend of mine had a large collection of over 100 badges and I know he paid over $1000 for some of them.
There are a few reference books in English, I believe.

I Class – Grand Cross (with Star) (Krzyż Wielki z Gwiazdą, for commanders in chief)
II Class – Commander's Cross (Krzyż Komandorski, for division commanders)
III Class – Knight's Cross (Krzyż Kawalerski, for brigadiers, colonels and majors)
IV Class – Golden Cross (Krzyż Złoty)
V Class – Silver Cross (Krzyż Srebrny)
