I can not answer for sure, since there are no documents explaining this. I think the RIA glass canteens were no longer produced after the October Revolution in 1917 (but this is only my opinion). WWI and WWII glass canteens are well distinguished primarily by the shape of the neck, and also by the shape of the body.

I have not heard of such cases. I think that during this period only WWII glass canteens were used (during the excavations in the battlefields of WWII, WWI glass canteens are also not found).
